On Sunday, December 2nd, 2018, the Asbury Park Historical Society and the Ocean Grove Historical Society will host the 2018 New York City Holiday Christmas Lights Tour. This 3-hour guided tour will allows guests to see the wide selection of Christmas lights set up around New York City.

Transportation will be handled with a motorcoach bus. Some of the highlights of this tour include the Macy’s building, the 5th and 6th Avenues, Bryant Park, and Wall Street. The tour will also stop at Rockefeller Center, so attendees will get a chance to get a good look at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree.

The tour will depart from the Fireman’s Park in Ocean Grove at 10:00 am. The park is located right on Main Street, and there will be plenty of space for free parking. Prior to bus boarding, coffee, juice, and other breakfast items will be served.

One of the stops on this tour is the Winter Garden, which will be decorated with several seasonal displays. Guests will be permitted to walk around to get a good view of the surrounding area. Several options for shopping and dining are available here, so be sure to see what seasonal items are on offer.

At 1:00 pm, the tour will take a small break in Little Italy for lunch. A three-course luncheon will be served at the Grotta Azzurra restaurant, named after the blue grotto found on the Isle of Capri. With a reservation you will have your choice of appetizer and entrée.

Appetizers include salad with balsamic vinaigrette, spaghetti Bolognese, and penne alla vodka. Featured entrées include chicken parmigiana, chicken franchaise, pork scaloppini, and basa fish fillet.

At the conclusion of the tour, the bus is scheduled to return to Ocean Grove at 9:00 pm. Tickets are $106 a person. If you have any questions, please contact Teddy Chomko at (848) 667-3432.
