The Green Book | Presentation by Jenny Shaffer

During the pre-Civil Rights era, Victor Green published “The Green Book” as a guidebook for African American travelers of places where they would be welcome. Asbury Park and Neptune were popular destinations. Architectural historian Jenny Shaffer, who is part of a team or researchers working on a public website devoted to the study of sites listed in the Green Book to discover their history and support their preservation, will share her research with you.
